Paperband Filters

Cyclotron's paperband filters, model CTPF, are uniquely designed to perform under the toughest of requirements. Our paperband filters can quickly and effectively remove particles down to 5 microns from both synthetic oils and water-based fluids, with flow rates up to 120 gpm and pressures from 30 to 1000 psi. We incorporate 100% powder coated steel components to increase productivity and maximize life span. Standard components include top of the line pumps, large reservoirs, protective coverings, rolled media ranging from 20 to 40 inches, stainless steel wire belts, roller bearing mounts for smoother operation, and complete electric controls.

How it Works

Liquid enters at the coolant inlet (1) where it is distributed evenly over the filter media.

Cleaned liquid passes through the filter media into a coolant reservoir (2) below.

As swarf builds up, the flow of liquid through the filter media is slowed causing the float to rise which in turn energizes the float switch (3), which starts the paper drive motor (4).

The wirebelt (5) advances, moving the filter paper along until liquid level subsides.

The filter paper and swarf are carried out to a swarf container (6) in a relatively dry condition.
